Dizziness
Dizziness is a feeling of lightheadedness, unsteadiness or a spinning sensation (also called vertigo). It can be caused by problems in the brain, inner ear or nervous system. People experiencing dizziness may feel like they are going to faint, lose their balance or that the room is moving around them. Common causes include low blood pressure, dehydration, inner ear disorders, migraines or neurological conditions. While dizziness is often not serious, it can affect daily activities and increase the risk of falls. Proper diagnosis is important to find the cause and provide effective treatment for relief and safety.
