Tingling
Tingling is a sensation often described as “pins and needles” that commonly affects the hands, feet, arms or legs. It can feel like a light prickling or crawling feeling under the skin. Tingling usually happens when a nerve is compressed, irritated or damaged. It can be temporary like when your arm “falls asleep” from pressure or it can be a sign of an underlying issue such as nerve injury, diabetes, vitamin deficiency or neurological conditions. Persistent or unexplained tingling should be evaluated by a doctor. Treatment depends on the cause & may include medications, lifestyle changes or therapies to restore nerve function & comfort.
